Glen Le Bot, Wooden Flute maker
My instruments are the product of many years of research
I found inspiration in an old model of Edward Purday's flute, famous flute maker around 1830. This instrument has many qualities because of rich tones in the higher octave and also because it requires less air thus is less tiring.
In spite of its qualities, the model had to be enhanced : I tried many combinations to accomodate the lower pitch that was in used at this time : half a tone lower today's 440 Hz ! After finding the right position for the holes, I worked on the head to manufacture the best sound for your wooden flute. Enjoy.
